Today Grant turns 10 months and, poor baby, had to have a
second frenectomy. Remember our horrible experience in October? Well, when the
Dr left, he didn’t give us any post op instructions and his tongue reattached
and was worse than before. We have been having a hard time getting him to eat
solids and he has been throwing everything up. He even went as far as to throw
up at the sight of food the other day. He is getting to the point where he is
pushing away his bottle. I saw a dentist
that specializes in this and she said he needs it done right away, in fact, she
had them book their next available, which happened to be on his 10 month day.
Poor boy screamed bloody murder. I could hear him from out in the waiting room.
They gave me the choice to go in with him, but I just couldn’t. Turns out, it
ended up being worse for me not being in the room because I couldn’t see what
was going on so I was picturing his last surgery in my head and that was
horrific. He did well though and calmed down quite quickly once they got their
hands out of his mouth! They all commented on how strong he is! This time they
swaddled him and numbed him so he didn’t feel a thing! I am so grateful for
this Dr and her expertise! I would recommend her to everyone!!! Her name is Dr.
Ashley Hoban. She’s a great pediatric dentist too if you’re looking for a good
one!
He's smiling at the nurses! He was flirting big time!
Still smiles for his monthly picture!
And still happy enough to play with his girlfriend!
