The day we met our BM

 BM didn't want to be in any pictures so this is us after our meeting.

Her daughter is on the other side of us but I didn't want to post a

picture without their consent.

This is one of the pictures she gave us.  We are so

glad she chose adoption over the other option.  We

will forever be blessed and so will Anayah for her

decision!  Thank you to all who make that choice for

their children.

 

Today we met the BM.  We were so nervous!  The closer we got to the agency the harder it was to breathe.  I bet she was just as nervous.  When we got there she wasn't there yet.  She had a craving and had driven clear on the other side of town just to find out the place didn't open til lunch time.  She walked in and we said hi and she sat down across from us.  Just then I saw her belly start jumping around.  It was Anayah saying hi!  The BM said, " Wow! She really likes you!"  It reminded me of the story of when Mary met Elizabeth when both were pregnant and how the babies lept in the womb.  They knew who they were in the presence of.  Anayah knew she was in the presence of her parents!  We talked for about 2 hrs, which our caseworker said was longer than any first meeting she'd ever been a part of.  It went so long that we had to sneak out the back door because her next appointment was coming in who happened to be the other BM that picked us at the same time.  That was awkward.  But they didn't want her to see us and get upset.  Anyway, we had such a good time talking and we immediately hit it off.  She kept saying that she wouldn't tell us anything about how to raise our child because she was our child and she wanted us to feel like she was ours.  That was so awesome to hear.  It was so great to meet her and not at all as scary as I thought it would be.  We fell in love with this woman.  It was easy to do.  After the meeting Joe and I went over to Cafe Rio to have lunch and then Joe went back to work.  I tried to go back to work, but there was no way I could work after that.  I was too excited!  So I left and went to my parents house.  It was such an awesome day and I'm on cloud 9!  Our baby will be here in just 2 months!  I can't wait!
