There's this man Joe and I know who has come into our lives and been a huge example to us. We love his spirit and the love he has for everyone. He recently lost his dear wife of about 64 years. Since her death he has gone to the temple every day he can except Saturday and now Thursday. He spends the better part of his day there because that is where he feels closest to his wife. I cannot go to the temple now without hoping I will see him there. Because of the inspiration he is to me I decided to make him something special. This is a wood burnt picture of the temple I made. I did everything by hand. I traced the temple so it would be as exact as I could make it. Once when I was in the temple I was eating lunch and he came down to eat his lunch. He handed me a piece of paper with a poem written on it. He said it was his favorite poem and I think it was, he said, his wife's great grandpa that wrote it. It is called Heaven's Gate written by Willis A Potter. Last fast Sunday he bore his testimony and recited this poem by memory. It is amazing the amount of things he has memorized. He loves poems. So I burned this poem onto the back. I think he will love it. It is my greatest creation yet. I am so proud of it and I hope he will love it as much as I do. Joe and I are so blessed to have this amazing man in our lives. I hope our kids will get to meet Jack Huntington.
