Joe and I had our 4th wedding anniversary Thursday! I can't believe it's been that long already! I love how much I love him. Everyone told us the newness will wear off but it's been 4 years and I still get a tingly feeling when I see him. I still miss him when I'm at work. I still love everything about him! He's so special to me and I literally thank God every day that he brought us together. I never doubt that we were meant to be. I know this sounds so corny, but it's so right! He's my best friend. The only one who knows everything there is to know about me. The only one I trust with all my heart. I don't think I could live without him. I don't want to have to try!
I had to work Thursday but I was only planning on being there for a little while. Joe came and dropped me off and went to the LDS Family Services. I have a cousin who has the same anniversary as I do. I was cutting her hair and she invited us to go to dinner with them for a big anniversary celebration. So Joe and I ended up going to Sammy's Woodfire Pizza with them. It was so much fun. It was us and their kids and afterward we went to Yogartland... Wyatt (the 3 yr old) said, "When I grow up I'm going on a mission to Yogartland!" So cute! Then Joe and I went home and I made my first batch of jelly, which turned out amazing if I do say so myself! Peach, (From Uncle Marion's garden) strawberry, mango...
YUM YUM YUM! Then I made my star rocks into earrings! Which I totally forgot to tell you all about. We had my family reunion last weekend. My sis came to see me the week before and we made stilts and had a great time with the kids. We went swimming a couple times and NiKole stayed with us for two nights! That was fun! Aaron learned to walk on the big kid stilts in 1 day! Go Aaron! Then we all left Friday, NiKole went home and Joe, me, Clayton and my parents headed out for Kodachrome. It was terrible. I hope we never got there again. Those gnats were out of control. They were eating everyone alive. No matter how much bug spray you put on they wouldn't leave you alone. I was so glad to leave, which is sad because I love camping but these silly gnats were taking over the world! Our drive home was worth every minute of the trip though. We stopped in Orderville to see my brother Grant's grave then we stopped at "The Ranch" (don't ask me where that is) and got to go through my dad's cabin and I found a lot of baby clothes and blankets that used to be mine so my Mom let me take them home for when we have a baby!!! My Dad found an old camera that he gave me and an old wood burner he let me have! I got lots of fun treasures from the cabin! Then we went to a place in Mount Carmel where they have "Star Rocks" We climb a little ways up a mountain and there are rocks shaped perfectly like stars... They're actually fossils of some sort. I picked a few of them out and decided to take them home and make earrings out of them... which worked quite nicely! Then we drove through Zion where my family has a tradition that when we're driving through the tunnel we yell and whistle and honk the horn! We had so much fun! All but Mom! She didn't like the loud noises!!! We drove around and Dad showed us where he and his family grew up and all the fun things they did. Then we went to see my Grandma Spendlove. It was such a fun trip! I wouldn't trade those memories for anything! I love my family! I love that we're all so close. I am so grateful for them and wouldn't trade them for anything in this world!
PS. I've been reading this book about adoption and it is making me so excited about what is coming up in our lives! I just can't wait to hold my precious baby and know that I will finally get to be a mommy and Joe will finally get to be a Daddy!
